I think PA was just talking about how Hans scripts and artwork seems more inspired than the others that feature in Egmont.

You are right, I am sorry I misunderstood!

I personally agree with that as I think Hans is one of the things that is keeping Egmont going.

I do not!

Yeah it is obvious you do not think that highly of Hans.

Can I ask you a question though mate. Do you prefer his later work or his work in the 80s and early 90s???

Back in the 80s we did like it "all"! But when I look at his old work, I think he was just a bit better back then!

He draw good, but he has a way with faces I can't stand, and have a bad habit drawing mr. walker without a hat and we can see his face sometimes!

Then comes the script lately! The combination Hans&hans is something I can't stand at all!!

But, then I don't say there are much "good" from Egmont these days!!

Yeah I dont think much of the current stuff either.

I liked the ideas of Year One, Dreams etc but I just felt that the idea kinder flopped in a big heap.

Hans work in the 80s compared to his current stuff is quite different. Maybe its the colour being added in the Phantom that has made him change his style.

I actually always thought his hands were his biggest weakness and not his faces. One thing about his faces is that they are more 'detailed' than others like Barrys.

I don't think it's just Egmont; it's all modern comics. IMHO, comics in general were just better some decades a go.

'In general' is the keyword here; there is still some good material Smile

Perhaps part of the problem is that writers and artists are increasingly restricted in terms of space and the perceived target audience. It's a completely different game nowadays...

It is hard for Egmont here, trying to do "modern" comics, and still want to have older readers (like myself) buying the book!

I don't know about the terms, but I can say one thing, if the art in the newest Moonstone book was in an Egmont comic they would not be able to give it away! And that is not something I feal, they have tried!

Not at all, just pointing the fact that bad art don't sell in Scandinavia! I am not sure why it, or if, doe's in the rest of the world!

That is not something I feal, that is a fact! Bad script, bad art, sales down!!

I am of a similar opinion - had a flick through a Moonstone Phantom the other day and thought that The Phantom looked like the Elephant Man. I will continue to keep my money in my pocket than imvest in Moonstone's Phantom.

A very good idea, and a new interesting setting for the Phantom to combat evil in. And a route with stories pertaining to borderline science-fiction that I would very much inded like to see more of. Smile

Power to that.

And I do belive we'll be seeing more of this storyline, so I hope I get my wish. ^^ And please... I really hope they keep Hans Lindahl as the artist for any other parts. Thank you.

Aparently the colour edition was really nice (Oz gets them in B&W) with artwork by Hans. I think he is doing the other parts of the story.
