Best story I have read for ages...
I wont comment too much until Friday as Jim already has given WAY TOO much away, some of the graphics is off top quality as well. ie: When the Phantom walks the street with the Phantom profile shadow behind Mr Walker and the last panel with the Phantom in the clouds, I last saw an effect like that back from "The Boy from the Sea" in the late 900s. _________________ Germ

Crisp and direct, great work! A nice hard edge as well! Can't wait for more Bababu in Baronkhan! _________________ 'It's the End of the World as we know it and I feel fine' |

Inside knowledge Ivan??
I am wondering if Bababua taking over Baronkhan is going to be the start of a new saga, or maybe its all part of the Sandal Singh saga and Bababua is just a pawn (not the first time). Anyway it has me intrigued and I cannot wait for the next 'part'.
Good stuff Egmont. _________________ Germ

If Bababu's attack on Baronkhan has the same brutality of this issue then bring it on, perhaps he can solve the love triangle seen in the recent Sunday and take out one of Rex's birds! _________________ 'It's the End of the World as we know it and I feel fine' |

Logic dictates that Bababu (so close to Baba Looey that I want Quick Draw Mcgraw to turn up) will descend on Baronkhan and one of the girl's Rex is in the triangle will become dead.
That is not a spoiler in anyway, just speculation. |

I somehow doubt that one of the girls will die for a few reasons.
1) Newspaper and Egmont worlds rarely co-exist
2) Has the Rex Love Triangle story even been printed in Fantomen/t yet?
Its a good idea though but that is helping Rex make a decision _________________ Germ

In the new story Brennpunkt Barbados the character Bababu has lost some weight, an the slimmer figure seems to make him a bit more dangerous... |

In the Frew comic, it looks like Diana has a blonde fringe, in the Fantomen/t colour issue, she still has brown hair.
Also was it just me or has Hans started to show Diana ageing? She looks 'mature' and well over 30 and nearly 40. Some still draw her like a young 20 year old chick, but Hans to me drawed her more realistic... _________________ Germ

Well, Germ!! What is realistic?? How old is Diana??
In this story an "old" friend, Bababu pops up again. Perhaps we thought him long gone?? But then we have to remember it is not more than 10-15 years since the event where he and Luaga fought about the presidency in Bengal!
Back then Diana was, how old?? 18-20?? Well, a young 20 year is not realistic, more like 30, then again, have in mind that a girl never pass 29!!

As we can see, Bababu is back as his old self in the upcoming issue now with Felmang art.
I think that all artists should stick to the same "image" when drawing such a well known figure as Bababu!!

I know it's the classic, Phantom disguise, but should anyone wear a buttoned-up trench coat in Barbados?? _________________ The Ghost Who Blogs |
