Hi guys - need some help from other Mandrake fans. I just picked up a Mandrake the Magician Giant comic album 1972/3 yellow cover and he is levitating a woman in a bikini type outfit on the front. Not sure how much it is worth - I don't have a price guide for this. Thanks

If "picked up" is the same as payd for it, well then you know the value of it!

If you want to sell it again, the value is whatever you may trick the other person to pay!

Why speculate between these two events??

When I need to check prices I always check www.milehighcomics.com or www.mycomicshop.com to see what they are selling them for. This looks like a harder to obtain comic. Mile High has one in VG condition for $72 and the range they list is $30 to $150, althought they often discount heavily. My Comic Shop lists the issue but doesn't have it in stock.

Of course it is true that something is only worth what another will pay you for it - but at least this gives you an idea of worth.

Well, that is another "question"! G was asking for value, not for what other asked for them, but when a honest answer was given he acted like a child!

Strange!

Thanks Tom - I bought this one from an unexpected place. I don't think they recognised the worth of it so I got it a bit cheaper but I wasn't sure of it's "market" value. I doubt I will be selling it though!

That is the funny thing with comics - you justify the buying price but if you are a collector, chances are you aren't going to be selling it!!
