Here's a review for this issue:

It's quite positive. Germ, you should add a poll option to this thread.
I am intending to buy this issue together with part 2 in November (saves postage rate, y'know).
After that, I don't know... With Moonstone going on to a regular publishing schedule, there's no way I can afford to follow the series. I mean, the last time I ordered three Phantom issues from the US to Norway, it costed me more than two new CDs or DVDs... This is way too expensive to do on a regular basis.
This means I will probably only be able to follow the new regular series when they are released in trade paperbacks. However, I intend to get the three issue arc of the Phantom's encounter with child-soldiers, but after that...
I really wish there was a cheaper option to get US comics here. _________________ www.chroniclechamber.com |

Yes, this is a problem. The cost of ordering these titles to England is not much cheaper. So it is hard, especially as one doesn't like the content (heh heh).
However, I am curious to see what Mike Bullock has come up with, so I will once again forfeit something else in order to order a Moonstone comic.

I'm curious, since Lions, Tigers and Bears is available in comic stores in England, isn't Moonstone's Phantom also available there? And if it is, would it be cheaper for those of you in other parts of Europe to order from a UK shop versus getting them from across the pond? _________________ |

Yes, Moonstone's Phantom can be bought in well-stocked comic shops here (Sheffield, England), but usually some time after they have been released in the States, and I am too impatient to wait. I have tried the net as well, and some English outlets sell them, but the import prices you still have to pay are in the same region as when you order from the States.
Some recent Moonstone issues I received from Amazon UK were as expensive as the No. 12 issue I have just ordered from the US.
But my search has not been exhaustive. I would welcome info from more well-informed fans how to buy these comics cheaper nearer 'home'.

I have been trying to find UK comic shops on the Internet, but haven't had any luck. Like Lennart says, all help would be greatly appreciated.

Ah well, what don't we do for the Phantom? Or, as you might put it, "that chap in the purple suit who is not the Phantom known and loved from the holy works of King Falk, but still dares to bear his name". Sorry, couldn't resist... _________________ www.chroniclechamber.com |

Touché! I will not stop buying these expensive US imports. I will just have to cut down on somethin else. The kids' new shoes will have to wait.
There's commitment for you.

Poll for what? Is there some who has got the book yet?
I am not impressed by how Moonstones make a Phantom story, but their marketing is perfect!
When will we see the "poll" for #15, I heard some saw a preview of the cover the other day!!

Yes, that is a cover that will polarise opinion, I think. We will see.

I put a poll because not only did someone ask for it but also because this week it is coming in Australia and was out last week in USA and on the Moonstone phorums there were a few who had read it already....
Is that ok with you though Ivan?? _________________ Germ

Hmm it's really quite gruesome. I'm not a big fan of the cover to #15 but I hope the story is good. _________________ BRUCEY |
